Create or choose accounts
Many of you have already decided on creating a new Insta account for your project, so that you can all post from the same account. If you have a personal Insta account, here are the instructions on how to sign into and post from multiple accounts in Instagram.
If you already have a Twitter account, consider using it to network for your project. If you are starting an account, consider creating one for yourself and not for your project specifically. On Twitter, you will often be looking for and interacting with Academic Twitter. It is often easier to signal who you are and connect with others by using an account that is linked to your student/scholarly identity. If you haven’t used your account much, or if you are just creating it now, this is an opportunity to cultivate your presence as a Davidson student and an undergraduate scholar.
If you do not want to use an account that you already use, consider created a “scholarly account” that is different from your personal account, but that is still connected to your student/scholarly identity.
Tweetdeck
Once you have decided what Twitter account your are using, sign into tweetdeck.com. This will allow you to easily follow what we and your classmates are posting by adding #eng406 as a column. We will use this for our live Twitter Chats.
Linking Accounts
If you do have a project account in Instagram, when you post there, you can link to your Twitter account and cross post. Instagram has instructions on how to do this.
